Silicon Carbide Diesel Particle Filter (DPF) (type approved)

To fit:

• Saab 9-3SS 2005 to 2009 all 1.9 TiD models (Z19DT, Z19DTH)
• Saab 9-3SS 2008 to 2012 all 1.9 TTiD models (Z19DTR)

High quality British manufactured, type approved Diesel Particulate/Particle Filter (DPF) made with a Silicon Carbide core. Silicon Carbide has a much higher melting point than Cordierite, it's a more expensive material and therefore costs more to produce. Although Cordierite does have it's own advantages most original equipment DPFs are made using Silicon Carbide. Huge saving over the Genuine Saab equivalent! Not to be confused with cheap imports!

NB: Please note it is very important to identify the reason your original DPF has blocked beyond regeneration and forced regeneration; as failure to rectify the original problem may result in the new DPF becoming blocked and this is not a covered by warranty as it is not a manufacturing defect.

A forced regeneration MUST also be carried out once the new DPF has been fitted to effectively marry the new part to the car and check the system is functioning properly.
